This model is one of Panasonic’s most widely used SMT placement machines. The NPM-W2 is a highly flexible placement machine characterised by optimisation for large printed circuit boards, the integration of multiple production processes and a high degree of configuration flexibility.

Intended for: medium to large electronics manufacturers (both EMS and OEM) who need to combine high product variety with high production volumes (High-Mix High-Volume) and work with specific board formats.

Does the placement head require complex maintenance?

The design utilises linear head mechanisms instead of rotary systems. This significantly reduces mechanical wear and ensures very low maintenance requirements

An advanced 3-in-1 system is used, which integrates image recognition, height measurement and component coplanarity checks in a single step.

What are the smallest and largest component sizes the machine can actually handle?

The NPM-W2 handles an extreme range of sizes. The minimum size is 03015 miniature chips (although this requires specific nozzles and feeders). The maximum dimensions for a standard component are 150 × 25 × 30 mm, or up to a height of 40 mm provided the PCB thickness requirements are met.
