Why should we use SMT Thermal Discoveries technology??

  • SMT Thermal Discoveries has been and is a leader in the soldering industry and always offers something unique. Thanks to a different approach to soldering zones, it offers flexible oven lengths, but with a fixed (recommended) ratio of preheat to peak zone lengths.

Does the number of zones in the oven affect the quality of the reflow process??

  • No, it doesn’t.
  • SMT ovens usually have a smaller number of zones while maintaining the correct length of the heating tunnel. The zones have more powerful fans and thanks to precise regulation, the oven can control the temperature in the zones. This adds another parameter for creating a solder profile.

How do SMT ovens help reduce energy consumption and operating costs?

  • SMT ovens are designed to maximize the energy input.
  • Zone fans have a major impact on energy consumption. Fan speeds can be reduced to a minimum while maintaining zone temperatures.
  • To switch to a lower temperature profile, it is not necessary to cool the oven, but usually it is enough to reduce the zone fan speed.
  • Routine maintenance tasks are simplified so that they can be performed efficiently and oven downtime is reduced to a minimum.
